RESTORATION PROGRAMME
The restoration programme is based on Joel 2:25 which speaks about restoration. This programme aims to reduce unemployment in women, particularly in single mothers. This programme will help women gain employment, start a small business or enter into education with close monitoring and support. We want to put a stop to the perpetuating cycle of poverty and malnutrition in children by helping their caregivers help themselves. We want to restore lives and give people a chance for a better tomorrow! The participants of this programme are carefully selected candidates and we work with them for up to a year to ensure optimum outcome! Madam Hannah
Meet Hannah our success story! We met Hannah in 2020 during one of our food outreaches. Hannah is a widow with 5 children who were living in total destitution. With the help of our donors and volunteers we were able to start a small business for Hannah selling provisions and food! Within a short space of time Hannah has been able to open another small food joint in another area which her daughter manages. Hannah is now able to feed her family and take care of themselves. Hannah is indeed a testimony and has been going from strength to strength.
Madam Sabina
Meet Sabina our success story! We met Sabina in 2020 during one of our food outreaches. Sabina is a young single mother of a baby and was orphaned at a young age. Due to her conditions her baby was unable to thrive adequately. Sabina at the time was working in a 'chop bar' washing plates earning 2GHC a day (approximately 30p a day) and was unable to adequately feed her son or herself. Sabina's living conditions were also quite poor. With the help of our volunteers in Ghana we were able to gain employment for Sabina with one of the major Telecommunication companies in Ghana. Sabina is doing extremely well and is also doing a small business to earn some more money. We are extremely proud of how far she has come!
FEED MY HOME OUTREACH
Our FEED MY HOME is an outreach project where we donate food items to single mothers, widowed mothers, pregnant women and vulnerable children. We provide them with rice, oil, tinned tomatoes, tinned fish/meat, water and nutritional powder for malnourished children. We also provide ‘starter packs’ to expectant mothers and mothers who would otherwise have nothing to start the journey of motherhood with or are lacking essential items. We aim to provide them with nappies, wipes, sanitary items and many others. We do outreaches in both Greater Accra & Nkawkaw (Eastern Region)
